Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
*Judging Criteria are subject to change in the coming weeks
- Impact & Problem Fit (25%): Does the project solve a real problem? Is the target user clear? Would the solution meaningfully help someone if developed further
- Technical Execution (25%): Is the implementation functional? Did the team build meaningful features? Is there evidence of technical challenge, integration, or original engineering?
- Usability, Design & Accessibility (20%): Is the project easy to understand and use? Is the interface thoughtful? Did the team consider accessibility, clarity, and user experience?
- Creativity & Originality (15%): Is the idea fresh, clever, or unexpected? Did the team approach the problem in an interesting way rather than making a generic app?
- Presentation & Demo Quality (15%): Did the team clearly explain the problem, solution, technical approach, and impact? Did the demo show the project working?
Each project is scored from 1-5 on each section of the judging rubric. Highest score wins. Tiebreakers are decided by judge's preference.
